Derailment Averted as Pilot Stops Train in Time Seeing Heap Of Soil On Rail Tracks in UP’s Raebareli

Lucknow: A derailment threat was averted as a passenger train was halted after the loco pilot saw a pile of soil dumped on the rail tracks near Raghuraj Singh station near Raebareli in UP on Sunday.

According to the police, the soil dump was removed from the track and rail traffic was resumed on the route. This incident stopped a shuttle train from Raibareli for a brief period.

According to preliminary finding by the police, road construction is underway in the area, involving the use of dumpers to transport soil at night.

On Sunday evening, a dumper driver transporting the soil dumped the load onto the railway track and fled. Further investigation into the matter is continuing.
