Father, Minor Son Die As Portion of House Collapses During Rains in Mumbai

Mumbai: A man and his 10-year-old son died when a portion of a house crashed in Vikhroli during heavy rains in Mumbai on Sunday night.

According to the BMC Disaster Control, the mishap occurred at a five-storied under-construction building at around 11.15 pm on Sunday.

Some portion of the parapet and a slab of one of the floors collapsed.

Two persons said to be father-son were removed from the debris by the locals and were rushed to the BMC’s Rajawadi Hospital.

They were declared dead at the hospital. The victims were identified as Nagesh R. Reddy (38) and his son Rohit Reddy (10).
