Five Killed In Accident In J&K ; PM Announces Rs 2 Lakh Ex-Gratia

Srinagar: Five people were killed and around 25 others injured today after a bus met with an accident in Rajouri district of the Jammu division.

Reports said that the vehicle had been on its way from Poonch to Jammu when the incident took place near Bhimber Gali in Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir.

The driver allegedly lost control and the bus fell into the deep gorge at Deri Ralyote village.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha expressed sorrow over the loss of lives.  Prime Minister Narendra Modi has offered condolence for the loss of lives and announced Rs 2 lakh as ex-gratia each from the PM’s National Relief Fund for the next of kin of the deceased.
