PM Modi to Review G20 Summit Preparations in Delhi

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to review the preparations for the upcoming G20 Summit in Delhi. He will meet with Cabinet ministers at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan on Thursday evening, where they will brief him on the arrangements for the summit.

The G20 Summit is scheduled to take place in New Delhi on September 9 and 10. Distinguished leaders from the G20 forum, including US President Joe Biden, Britain’s Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, will begin arriving in Delhi starting from September 8.

The venue for the summit will be Bharat Mandapam, a recently constructed international convention and exhibition center located at Pragati Maidan. This marks a historic occasion for India, as it will be the first time the country hosts the G20 Summit.

Extensive preparations have been undertaken for the summit, including security measures and enhancements to civic infrastructure. The summit is expected to draw participation from over 30 heads of state, high-ranking officials from the European Union and invited guest countries, as well as 14 heads of international organizations.

The G20 Summit is a major international event that will focus on issues such as the global economy, climate change, and sustainable development. The summit is expected to be a significant opportunity for India to showcase its economic and diplomatic prowess on the global stage.
