Gas Cylinder Blast Kills Balloon Seller and Injures 9 Kids in Maharashtra

Mumbai: The gas cylinder used to fill up balloons exploded at Maharashtra’s Latur on Sunday killing a balloon seller and injuring nine children.

The balloon seller identified as Rama Namdev died on the spot while the children were admitted to a hospital. One of the children suffered 70 per cent burns and was critical. All injured children were from 5 to 12 years of age.

The blast took place at around 5:30 pm on Sunday. The kids had crowded around the balloon seller when the blast occurred.
