“I.N.D.I.A Alliance Formed to Fight Sanatana Dharma”: DMK Minister Sparks Fresh Row | WATCH

A video clip featuring K Ponmudy, the Higher Education Minister in the DMK government, went viral on social media. In the video, Ponmudy purportedly stated that the INDIA alliance was formed to combat Sanatana Dharma. This incident occurred during the ‘Sanatana Abolition Conference,’ where Udhayanidhi Stalin, the son of Chief Minister MK Stalin, likened Sanatana Dharma to diseases like malaria, corona, and dengue on September 2nd.

During his speech at the conference, Udhayanidhi sparked controversy by comparing Sanatana Dharma to diseases like dengue fever, malaria, and corona, emphasizing the need for eradication rather than opposition. He expressed gratitude to the conference organizers for providing him with a platform to speak on eradicating Sanatana Dharma, noting their choice of the conference name as ‘eradicate Sanatana Dharma’ instead of ‘oppose Sanatana Dharma.’

Udhayanidhi further elaborated on his stance, stating that the term ‘Sanatanam’ derives from Sanskrit and implies permanence, resistance to change, and unquestionability. He argued that Sanatanam goes against equality and social justice.

Following the uproar sparked by his speech, Udhayanidhi clarified that he had never advocated for the genocide of those following Sanatana Dharma.
