IAF Agniveervayu Recruitment 2024: Eligibility and Application Details

New Delhi: The Indian Air Force (IAF) has commenced the registration process for Agniveervayu Intake 02/2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply through the official website before the deadline on July 28, 11 PM. Both male and female candidates are eligible for application.

Eligibility Criteria for IAF Agniveervayu Recruitment

Candidates must be born between July 3, 2004, and January 3, 2008, and should not exceed 21 years of age at the time of enrollment. Only unmarried individuals are eligible, with female candidates required to undertake not to become pregnant during the four-year engagement period.

Educational Qualifications

For Science Students:

  • Must have passed Class 12 or equivalent with Mathematics and Physics, securing at least 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English.
  • Should have completed a three-year Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile/Computer Science/Instrumentation Technology/Information Technology) with 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English in the Diploma course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation if English was not part of the Diploma course).
  • Passed a two-year Vocational course with non-vocational subjects Physics and Mathematics, securing 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English in the vocational course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation if English was not part of the vocational course).

For Non-Science Stream Students:

  • Must have passed Class 12 in any discipline with 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English.
  • Completed a two-year Vocational course with at least 50% aggregate marks and 50% in English in the vocational course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation if English was not part of the vocational course).

Written Test Details

The written test will begin from October 18 onwards:

  • Science Subjects: Duration of 60 minutes covering Physics, Mathematics, and English.
  • Other than Science Subjects: Duration of 45 minutes including English and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA).
  • Both Science and Other than Science Subjects: Duration of 85 minutes covering Physics, Mathematics, English, and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA).

Marking Pattern

  • Correct answers are awarded one mark.
  • Unattempted questions receive zero marks.
  • Incorrect answers incur a penalty of 0.25 marks.
