Man Booked for Insulting Tricolour by Morphing Image of MP Urinating Incident

Bhopal: An individual with the Twitter handle ‘Shafeeq 2.0’ has been accused of doctoring an image from the Sidhi urination incident to insult the Indian flag. The police have registered an FIR against this person, applying relevant sections of the IT Act and the Prevention of Insults to National Honor Act. The SHO Kamla Nagar, Bhopal, Anil Bajpai, confirmed the case registration.

Following the incident, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan personally met with Dashmat Rawat, the victim of the urination case, at the Chief Minister’s House in Bhopal. As a gesture of respect, Chouhan had lunch with Rawat and even washed his feet to express his remorse. He expressed deep pain and disturbance upon seeing the video of the incident and wrote an apology to Rawat, stating that he shares his pain.

In the viral video, the accused, Pravesh Shukla (30), was seen urinating on Rawat. After the meeting with Chief Minister Chouhan, Rawat expressed his satisfaction, mentioning that the Chief Minister spoke to his family as well. When asked about the incident, Rawat simply responded, “What to say now? Whatever happened has happened.”

In response to the video going viral on social media, Chief Minister Chouhan took immediate action and ordered strict measures, including invoking the National Security Act (NSA) against the accused. The accused, Pravesh Shukla, was arrested the following day and charged under the NSA. Additionally, the local administration demolished his illegal property.
