New Delhi: An iron rod crashed through the coach’s window and pierced through the neck of a passenger on the Neelachal Express, killing him. According to a representative for North Central Railway, this bizarre incident occurred between Danwar and Somna at around 8:45 AM.
“An external object (iron rod) that broke the window caused one passenger’s death in a general coach. At 9:23 AM, the train was stopped at the Aligarh Junction, according to a railway spokesperson.
The deceased was identified as Hrishikesh Dubey of Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The iron rod struck him in the neck while he was sitting near the window. According to sources, some track maintenance was being done at the time of the mishap.
