Maoist Leader Sabyasachi Panda Acquitted In Another Case

Nayagarh: Maoist leader Sabyasachi Panda has been acquitted in the Nayagarh violence case on Monday.

Nayagarh district and sessions judge acquitted Panda and two others in the 2008 Maoist attack on the Nayagarh Reserve Police case.

It is pertinent to be mentioned here that Panda and two others were arrested on the charges of a Maoist attack on cops in Nayagarh Reserve Police in 2008.

Earlier, the Gunupur ADJ court had acquitted him in connection with a case regarding the seizure of explosives from a forest in the Rayagada district in 2013.

The court freed him from all the charges due to a lack of evidence.

Examining the statements of 20 witnesses and police charge sheets, the court found no involvement of the Naxal leader in the case.
