Massive Rave Party Raided in Thane: 95 Detained, Organizers Held, Drugs Seized

Thane: A pulsating party near Vadavali Creek in Thane met an abrupt end early Sunday morning as police swooped down, nabbing 95 revellers and busting a major rave. Crime Branch Units V (Wagle Estate) and II (Bhiwandi) conducted the meticulous raid around 3 am, unearthing the illegal gathering in a remote open space.

Among the detained were five women, all enjoying the pulsating beats and illicit atmosphere. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Shivraj Patil confirmed the detentions and revealed the arrest of the party’s alleged organizers, Tejas Kubal (23) and Sujal Mahajan (19).

The raid wasn’t merely a buzzkill; it was a major drug haul. Police recovered a trove of contraband, including 70 grams of charas, 0.41 grams of LSD, 2.10 grams of ecstasy pills, 200 grams of ganja, and a stash of alcohol. To top it off, 21 motorcycles were also seized, bringing the total estimated value of the bust to a staggering Rs. 8 lakh.

“An offence has been registered under relevant provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act against the accused,” DCP Patil informed while clarifying that only Kubal and Mahajan have been formally arrested so far.
