Minor Gang-Raped For 7 Months In Junagadh, 3 Detained

Junagarh: Three youths were detained for allegedly raping a minor girl for seven months in Gujarat’s Junagadh.

The accused trio had also threatened to kill the victim’s father and brother.

The incident came to light when the minor unfolded the horrifying experience before her father on Tuesday morning.

Following this, the victim’s father lodged a complaint with the police station.

According to the complainant, her daughter revealed that since the last six to seven months three youths were raping her.

Around seven months ago, one night when she had gone to the backyard of the house to throw garbage, two youths grabbed her and raped her at knifepoint. Then they had threatened that if she told anyone about it they would kill her father and brother, the complaint said.

The police registered a gang rape case against the accused Yash, Keyur and Divyesh, and also invoked POCSO sections against them. Further investigations are underway.
