VIDEO: Outrage Over Viral Video of Woman Dancing in Mumbai Local Train Sparks Call for Action

Mumbai: The recent trend of individuals dancing in public spaces like metro trains and railway platforms has stirred significant controversy. Despite numerous warnings from authorities, content creators persist in their actions, much to the dismay of the public.

A recent video featuring a young woman dancing provocatively to Bhojpuri songs inside a Mumbai local train and at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) has ignited a storm of criticism online. The clips, shared by @mumbaimatterz on X, show the woman dancing in both general and ladies’ coaches, as well as on the CSMT platform, causing disturbances to fellow commuters.

The public reaction was swift and severe, with many labelling the dance as “obscene” and a nuisance. Calls for strict action against the woman were widespread. One user noted, “I think this is the only girl doing nuisance everywhere. She was also detained once and let go with a warning. She should now be arrested and thrown out of Mumbai.”

In response, the official X account of Mumbai Central DRM directed the Security Department of Mumbai Division to investigate and take appropriate action. They replied, “Thanks for information. Matter has been forwarded to concern officers to take necessary action.”
