NDA Parliamentary Party Meeting Tomorrow, PM Modi to Address MPs

New Delhi: National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) parliamentary party meeting on Tuesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to address the NDA MPs for the first time during the first session of Parliament since he assumed office for a third term.

In the past Modi addressed the NDA MPs on a few occasions. He mostly spoke at the meetings of BJP MPs during sessions.

According to reports, all NDA MPs have been notified about Tuesday’s meeting.

For the first time since 2014, the BJP has lost the majority in the Lok Sabha in the recently-held polls. Now it needs the support of its allies for the government’s continuation. While the BJP won 240 seats, its allies won 53.

The NDA meeting will be held while discussions continue in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha on the Motion of Thanks to President Droupadi Murmu’s address to a joint sitting of Parliament.

PM Modi will reply to the discussions in both Houses.
