Paid Rs 10 Cr To Delhi Min Satyendar Jain, Alleges Sukesh Chandrashekhar

New Delhi: Jailed conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar has accused Delhi minister Satyendar Jain of extorting Rs 10 crore in the name of ‘protection’ inside Tihar Jail.

He also alleged that he has contributed about Rs 50 crore to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

In a letter to the Delhi LG VK Saxena on October 7, Sukesh claimed to have known Jain since 2015.

“I have known Satyendar Jain of AAP since 2015, and have contributed more than Rs 50 crore to AAP in the promise of giving me an important post in the party in South zone and helping me to get nominated to Rajya Sabha following the expansion,” reads the letter.

Chandrashekhar further says that he has so far paid Rs 10 crore to Jain and Rs 12.50 to DG prison Sandeep Goel. “He (Jain) forced me to pay a total amount of Rs 10 crore in a matter of 2 to 3 months through constant pressure. All the payments were collected in Kolkata by his associate Chaturvedi,” alleged Chandrashekhar.

Jain, who held jail portfolio in Delhi, is lodged in Tihar jail in connection with a money laundering case.

The allegations that conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar paid Rs 10 crore to jailed AAP minister Satyendra Jain as ‘protection money’ are an attempt to divert attention from the Morbi incident, said Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal.

“Before Punjab polls, they came out with Kumar Vishwas. Now, the BJP, due to its poor condition in Gujarat, has produced Sukesh. It is also an attempt to divert attention from the Morbi incident,” Kejriwal said in response to a question at a press conference.
