Photo Of Garbage Strewn On Vande Bharat Express Floor Goes Viral

New Delhi: A picture that has been doing the rounds on the web shows garbage strewn on the floor of a Vande Bharat Express coach.

Empty bottles, used food containers, and plastic bags can be seen strewn on the train in the image posted on Twitter by Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officer Awanish Sharan. Additionally, a worker is seen sweeping the floor with a broom. “We the people,” the caption read.

While many people criticised the express train’s interior littering, some pleaded with everyone to keep the nation clean.

Earlier this month, after litter was discovered inside the Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat express, the railways had appealed to passengers to keep trains clean. Despite regular cleanings by the onboard housekeeping workers, according to the railways, the carriages were extremely dirty when the train arrived at Visakhapatnam.

“Maintaining your environment and yourself clean is the act of being clean. Citizens bear a great deal of responsibility for maintaining the cleanliness of their properties, which are public property, according to Waltair Division Divisional Railway Manager Anup Satpathy.

“The mindset and attitude needed to change. With such behaviour, our motto of Swachch Rail-Swachch Bharat cannot be realised. Work together with Railways to improve service to you. Be not resentful. “Quit littering,” he urged.
