PM Modi Flags Off Nagpur-Bilaspur Vande Bharat Express

Nagpur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off Vande Bharat Express connecting Nagpur and Bilaspur from platform number 1 of the Nagpur Railway Station today.

The Vande Bharat Express’ train coaches were examined by the prime minister, who also evaluated the amenities provided. Shri Modi examined the Vande Bharat Express locomotive engine control centre and evaluated the development strategies for the Nagpur and Ajni Railway Stations. From 7-8 hours, the travel duration between Nagpur and Bilaspur will be cut to 5 hours and 30 minutes.

“Flagged off the Vande Bharat Express between Nagpur and Bilaspur,” the prime minister tweeted. “Connectivity will be significantly enhanced by this train” he added.

When the Prime Minister arrived at Nagpur Railway Station, he was accompanied by the Maharashtra Chief Minister, Shri Eknath Shinde, the Maharashtra Governor, Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari, the Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Devendra Fadnavis, and the Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari.
