Rahul Gandhi Lambasts Over Modi Govt In UK Parliament

London/New York: Congress leader and MP Rahul Gandhi, while addressing the UK MPs and other attendees in the Grand Committee Room of the Palace of Westminster attacked the Modi government.

The Wayanad MP alleged that there is no space for free speech in India.

In his speech, Rahul said that the opposition leaders in parliament are not allowed to raise important issues like GST and Demonetisation.

He further said that the BJP and RSS are attacking Indian institutions such as the CBI and ED.

At Cambridge, Rahul Gandhi said that Indian democracy is under attack and several politicians, including himself, are under surveillance. Rahul Gandhi is set to conclude his UK tour this week with an address at the Chatham House think tank in London on geopolitical issues.
Gandhi’s UK visit has not been received warmly back home in India, with the BJP accusing him of “defaming” the country abroad following his Cambridge University speech. Gandhi’s remarks at Cambridge University triggered a political slugfest as the BJP slammed Gandhi for maligning India on foreign soil while praising China.
