New York: During his recent visit to the United States, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi embarked on a truck ride from Washington DC to New York. The journey provided an opportunity for Rahul Gandhi to connect with the driver, Taljinder Singh, an Indian trucker working in the US. As they travelled, Rahul Gandhi requested the driver to play a song by Sidhu Moose Wala, stating, “Play Sidhu Moose Wala’s 295 song.”

Engaging in a conversation with Taljinder Singh, Rahul Gandhi inquired about the driver’s earnings. Taljinder Singh expressed that he earns significantly more in the US than he would in India. He emphasized the importance of truckers in facilitating the work of manufacturers.

During the ride, Rahul Gandhi expressed admiration for the American trucks, highlighting their driver-centric design and comfort. This led to a discussion between Rahul Gandhi and Taljinder Singh about the contrasting working conditions for truck drivers in India and the US.
