Six Killed, 10 Injured In Massive Fire At Lucknow Hotel

Lucknow: Six people were killed while 10 were injured in a massive fire mishap at hotel Levana in Uttar Pradesh’s Hazratganj area in Lucknow on Monday morning

Three ambulances and fire tenders are present at the spot as rescue operations are underway.

Firefighting and rescue operations are underway at Hotel Levana in Hazratganj, Lucknow, where a fire broke out this morning. People in hotel rooms are being evacuated by security personnel wearing oxygen masks.

According to Lucknow police, as many as 15 people have been rescued so far. Out of the 15 rescued, two fainted during the operation and were later shifted to a hospital.

Lucknow Development Authority had issued a notice against Hotel Levana a few days back.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognizance of the fire at Levana hotel in Lucknow.

He said, “Proper treatment should be given to the people injured in the accident.”

The Chief Minister has directed the officials of the district administration to provide proper treatment to the injured. Along with this, the District Magistrate and senior police officers have been directed to reach the spot immediately and expedite the relief and rescue work.
