Snake Bites Bihar Man, He Bites Snake Twice, Snake Dies, Man Survives

Patna: When a snake bit a railway employee in Rajauli in Bihar, he bit the snake twice believing that it would reverse the venom’s effect. The snake died, while the man survived after getting proper medical treatment, reported the Times of India.

The railway employee, who was bitten by the snake, was Santosh Lohar. He was part of a team laying railway tracks in a thickly-forested part of Rajauli in Bihar.

On Tuesday night, 35-year-old Santosh was bitten by a snake.

He immediately caught the snake and bit it back twice. He believed in the local myth that biting a snake back twice will save the snake bite victim.

But the colleagues of Santosh immediately rushed him to Rajauli subdivision hospital, where he responded well to treatment. He was kept overnight in the hospital and discharged the following day.

It is not clear what kind of snake bit the railway employee.
