Three PFI Offices Sealed By Delhi Police Under UAPA

New Delhi: The Delhi Police have filed a case under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) in relation to the properties owned by the outlawed Popular Front of India (PFI) in the nation’s capital. The Shaheen Bagh police station is where the case against PFI was filed under the UAPA.

Section 8 of the UAPA required the sealing of three PFI offices, which were located on the first floors of Jaid Apartment, Hilal House in Abu Fazal Enclave Jamia Nagar, and Tehri Manzil Jamia.

The FIR, which was filed a few days ago, claims that PFI engaged in questionable activity out of these premises, leading to searches. In a previous ruling, it was stated that PFI and its affiliates were using the properties at these addresses to conduct their business. The central government deemed PFI, its affiliates, and allies to be unlawful associations on September 27 through a notification, and a five-year ban was enforced.
