Two UP Labourers Killed In Targeted Grenade Attack In J&K’s Shopian

Shopian: In yet another terrifying incident reported from the Herman region of the Shopian district in Jammu and Kashmir, terrorists allegedly threw a grenade at five non-local labourers from Uttar Pradesh, killing two of them, according to the police.

Manish Kumar and Ram Sagar have been identified as the deceased labourers. Both of them were reportedly citizens of Uttar Pradesh’s Kannauj district.

The terrorist has been taken into custody, and The Resistance Front (TRF) has claimed responsibility for the dastardly attack.

According to reports, a hand grenade was thrown inside the tin shed while up to five labourers were sleeping.

The Kashmir Zone Police reported that two workers from the state of Uttar Pradesh, namely Manish Kumar and Ram Sagar, both of Kanauj, UP, were hurt when terrorists threw a hand grenade in Harmen, Shopian. They were taken to the hospital, where they passed away. The area has been isolated and search operations are underway.

Imran Bashir Ganie, a “hybrid terrorist” from the LeT, a terrorist organisation that has been outlawed, was apprehended by Shopian police after hurling a grenade at the labourers. Inquiries and raids are continuing, according to ADGP Kashmir.
