Youth Dies Jumping Off from High-Rise as Father Scolds Him for Coming Home Drunk

New Delhi: A 20-year-old college student ended his life by suicide by jumping from a high-rise in Gurugram on Monday night when his father rebuked him in an inebriated condition.

This suicide was committed at late night late on Monday at the Orchid Petals Society in Sector 49 of Gurugram. The deceased, Siddhant, came home drunk. His father scolded him for it. The deceased was a BBA student.

The inebriated 20-year-old felt bad at his father’s statement and he jumped from the 14th floor of Tower 18 in the housing society.

After receiving information, the Gurugram Police reached the spot and took the body in custody for postmortem.

An investigation into the matter is continuing.
