1 Killed, 2 Critical in Road Accident in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj Dist

Mayurbhanj: A youth was killed while two others sustained critical in a road accident in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district. The accident took place near the petrol pump in the Kurulia area on National Highway number 220.

The deceased was identified as Banamali Tunga.

According to reports, Banamali Tunga along with another person was on his way to the Karanjia Sub Divisional hospital when they met with an accident. When the two were near the Kurulia petrol pump another bike hit their bike from the front side. As the two bikes collided, the bike rider was thrown away onto the road when a trawler mowed down him and fled from the scene.

The youth died on the spot. The locals rushed to the spot and rescued the two injured persons and sent them to the Karanjia hospital for treatment.

On being informed, police reached the spot and started to probe into the matter.
