10 Teachers Suspended for Taking Unauthorised Leave in Malkangiri

Malkangiri: The Odisha Government has suspended ten junior teachers in Odisha’s Malkangiri district for taking leave for long periods without permission from the authorities.

The District Education Department has stated that these teachers had remained absent from their duty in the schools without citing any reasons or informing the higher authorities. The department has issued a show-cause notice to them.

Even after providing notice, those teachers neither responded to the show-cause notice nor returned to their duty. Subsequently, District Education Minister (DEO) Manas Kumar Jena suspended the 10 teachers from the service.

The suspended teachers are Nilima Jena of New Primary School at MV-1 under Sadar block, Ramesh Chandra Nayak of Bhimarangini PUPS School, Arunarani Beuria of Bijapadar PUPS, Santosh Kumar Swain of Rauliguda PUPS, Jesmin Das of Bijapadar UPS, Debasri Behera of Primary School at MV 84, Sabitri Patra of MV 90 UPS, Jyotirmayee Suttar of Nalagunthi PUPS, Ranjan Kumar Behera of Janturai Primary School and Sasmita Sahu of Mendakuli PUPS.
