10-Yr-Old Child Killed in Maoist IED Blast in Jharkhand

Ranchi: A 10-year-old boy died when an IED planted by Maoists exploded in the West Singbhum district of Jharkhand. The victim had gone to Rolabrupi Jengagada forest to collect kendu leaves, when he fell victim to the IED blast on May 17 evening, police sources said.

Police and CRPF personnel rushed to the spot and recovered the body with the help of locals.

Five villagers including two aged women had been killed in Maoist-planted IED blasts in West Singbhum district since January 2023.
