2 BSF Personnel Injured in Maoist IED Blast in Chhattisgarh

Raipur: Two personnel of the Border Security Force (BSF) were injured when a pressure-activated Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted by Maoists went off in Chhattisgarh’s Kanker district on Tuesday morning. This blast occurred near the BSF camp at Chilparas, under Koyalibeda police station limits. A BSF troop involved in a road sanitization operation faced this IED blast.

The injured jawans were shifted to a local hospital in Koyalibeda. Combing operation was started in the area to track down the leftist vagrants involved in this IED blast.

On Monday, an assistant platoon commander of Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF) was martyred in a similar pressure IED blast in Bijapur district of the state.
