2 Islamic State Commanders Killed by Taliban Forces in Afghanistan

Two major Islamic State commanders were killed during an encounter with the security forces of the Taliban government in Afghanistan. According to the Taliban government in Afghanistan, they were slain during a counter-terrorism raid in the capital Kabul a few days ago.

According to Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid, one of the killed terrorists was Qari Fateh. He was the intelligence chief and a former minister of war of the Islamic State-Khorasan Province (ISKP). The ISKP is an Islamic State-affiliated terrorist organization in Afghanistan. This terror outfit is opposed to the Taliban.

Qari Fateh was allegedly involved in planning terrorist activities for the ISKP in Kabul. He was involved in the planning of attacks against Russian, Pakistani, and Chinese diplomatic missions in Kabul.

In the statement, Mujahid also confirmed the killing of the Islamic State Hind Province (ISHP) first Emir, Ejaz Ahmad Ahangar along with two associates.
