3 Bike-Borne Youths Mowed Down by Speeding Truck In  Keonjhar Dist

Keonjhar: Three youths travelling on a bike died after being hit by a speeding truck in Kenjhar district.

According to sources, the three youths from different villages under Ghatagaon and Dhenkikot police stations died in this accident on Monday. These three friends were on their way to Ghatagaon from Dhenkikot when they were run over by a truck.

While crossing a diversion road laid for an under-construction bridge, a speeding truck hit their bike. The accident-causing truck fled from the spot after the accident. Two of them, identified as Balabhadra Khatua of Masinabilla village and Maheswar Nayak of Sanabarabeda, died on the spot. The other youth was rushed to the local hospital where he succumbed.

On being informed, local police reached the spot and started an investigation. Police are trying to identify and trace the accident-causing truck.
