348 Arrested During Amritpal Singh Crackdown Freed

Amritsar: The Punjab government has freed 348 of the 360 people arrested during a police crackdown against Waris Punjab de chief Amritpal Singh.

Fugitive ‘Waris Punjab De’ chief Amritpal Singh is said to have again dodged Punjab police to flee yet again in a Swift car after an alleged dramatic chase by police on the Phagwara-Hoshiarpur road. Drones have been deployed by Punjab police to trace him.

Punjab police are searching for a white Swift car with the number ‘8168’. Also, an alert has been sounded in the border areas of Himachal Pradesh. Amritpal Singh is on the run for over 10 days.

Amritpal on Wednesday released a video, calling on the “Sikh Sangat” to come together if they want to “save” Punjab. However, the date and location of the video couldn’t be ascertained.
