4 Cops Suspended in Angul District for Involvement in Ganja Smuggling

Angul: Four police officials are reported to have been suspended in the Angul district of Odisha for their alleged link with ganja smuggling in Odisha.

DIG Uma Shankar Dash reportedly suspended an ASI of police, two constables and a driver posted at the Kishorenagar police station.

It is alleged that these cops allowed these ganja smugglers from the Boudh district to pass through after receiving some benefits. After being informed about the unlawful act of these cops, DIG Umma Shankar Dash started an investigation against them and after getting evidence against them, he suspended the four.  The four police personnel were suspended for their indirect involvement in the ganja smuggling. Further action would be initiated against them after thorough investigation.
