6 Of a Family, Including 3 Women, Shot Dead During Quarrel Over Dumping Waste in MP

Bhopal: Six members of a family, including three women, were shot dead in Madhya Pradesh’s Morena during a quarrel relate dto land dispute. Two other men were seriously injured.

Shocking video footage of the incident making rounds on social media shows several rifle-wielding men shooting at an unarmed group of persons. This group was later beaten up with lathis.

This violent clash occurred between the families of Dheer Singh Tomar and Gajendra Singh Tomar at around 10 am at Lepa village. These two families had clashed over dumping waste in 2013 when two members from Dheer Singh Tomar’s family were killed. Gajendra Singh Tomar’s family fled the village after it.

The two families had entered into an outside the court settlement and latter’s family had returned to the village on Friday. Dheer Singh Tomar’s family allegedly attack on them with lathis and fire at them. Gajendra Singh Tomar and his two sons were among the six who were killed.

Police have identified eight persons allegedly involved in the murders and a case is being registered against them.
