662 Category College Teachers to Manage CHSE +2 Exams

Bhubaneswar: Over 663 category college agitating teachers have agreed to take part in managing the annual +2 examinations in Odisha. The plus two board exams are scheduled to be held from tomorrow.

However, the teachers will continue to stage protests to fulfil their demands. The decision in this regard was taken by the association after a meeting with Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari.

“The minister assured us that our demands will be met and a meeting in this regard will be convened between March 10 and 12. Following the assurance, we decided to cooperate with the examination process. However, the protest will continue at Lower PMG,” said Golak Nayak, convenor of the 662 category college teachers’ association.

The teachers are agitating with demands of receiving salaries at par with other categories of teachers.
