A Dozen Labourers Seriously Injured as Cement-Laden Truck Overturns In Mayurbhanj Dist

Baripada: At least 12 persons were seriously injured when a cement-laden truck overturned on the Bhimkund-Kendujiani road under Thakurmunda police station limits in Mayurbhanj district on Wednesday evening.

The victims were on the truck that was travelling from Khandabandh to the Sarubil and Asanbani villages.

While negotiating a sharp turn, the driver lost control of the vehicle and the truck overturned. The injured included the driver and 11 labourers. All of them were stranded under the overturned vehicle.

All the injured were rescued and rushed to the Thakurmunda hospital. Four of them were shifted to the Ghasipura hospital as their condition deteriorated.
