Acid Attack on Female Roadside Vendor, Her 4-Yr-Old Son in Delhi

New Delhi: A 33-year-old female roadside vendor and her 4-year-old son were injured when an unidentified person threw acid at her in North West Delhi’s Bharat Nagar of Delhi on Thursday. Police are yet to arrest anyone in this case so far.

The woman was setting up her wares at the weekly market when she faced the acid attack at around 8 am on Thursday. A man walked towards her from a nearby park and threw acid in her direction, police sources said.

Both mother and son were rushed to a hospital for treatment of the burn injuries. The woman reported the attack to the police after she returned from the hospital.

Police suspect personal enmity to be the reason behind the attack.
