All 3 Bodies Of Students Missing In Devi River Recovered

Jagatsinghpur: The bodies of all three missing students who went missing on Monday while bathing in the Devi river were finally fished out from the river.

The deceased have been identified as Subham Patra (15) of Satyanagar in Bhubaneswar. The other two deceased are Satyajit Barik (15) and Swabhiman Barik (16) of Chandrapada village in the Ambashala area of the district.

According to reports, four students had gone to Devi River in the Macchagan village under Balikuda Block to take bath. Out of the four, three students have swept away into the deep water probably due to a strong water current.

After getting the information, the Firefighters rushed to the River and started the rescue operation.

Fire Services personnel engaged in the rescue operations were able to retrieve one body from the river, the other two bodies were recovered on Tuesday and sent for post-mortem.
