A Hindu temple in Australia’s Brisbane was vandalized Khalistani goons. The miscreants defaced the walls of the temple with anti-India graffiti. Shree Laxmi Narayan Temple in Brisbane was allegedly vandalised by “Khalistani supporters”, The Australia Today reported. It is the fourth attack on Hindu temples in Australia during the past two months.
Devotees of this temple located in the Burbank suburb discovered the mischief of the miscreants when they reached the temple on Saturday morning to offer their prayers.
President of the temple management Satinder Shukla told The Australia Today, “Temple Priest and devotees called this morning and notified me about the vandalism on the boundary wall of our temple.”
Earlier, the Gayatri in Brisbane received intimidating calls from Khalistan extremists based in Lahore, Pakistan.
In the recent past Khalistan goons defaced three Hindu temples in Australia. On January 23, the ISKCON temple in Melbourne’s Albert Park was vandalised by anti-India graffiti. On January 16, Shri Shiva Vishnu Temple in Carrum Downs, Victoria faced similar vandalism. On January 12, the Swaminarayan temple in Melbourne was defaced by Khalistani elements.
Indian External Affairs minister Jaishankar during his meeting with his Australian counterpart Penny Wong discussed the issue. India has asked the Australian government to curb the anti-India activities of the Khalistani separatists and also attacks on the Hindu temples in the country.
