New Delhi: The Indian archery compound women’s team clinched gold medal with the final scoreline of 230-229. The final three arrows were perfect 10 for them, while Chinese Taipei crumbled under pressure as they lost the final by just 1 point. Jyothi Vennam, Aditi Swami and Parneet Kaur were part of the Indian team.
In the first set, the Chinese Taipei opponents gave a tough fight and won it by 54-56, but following that India dominated the whole match to clinch the second gold in archery.
India currently stands in fourth place with a total of 82 medals, which includes 19 gold, 31 silver, and 32 bronze medals.
