Bebo turns 42; know how she ruled hearts over all controversies

Mumbai: Kareena Kapoor Khan turns 42 today. Despite being a star kid, the journey of the actress was not that easy. She created a storm with her glamorous look and memorable performances like Poo in Kabhi Khusi Kabhi Gham or Geet in Jab We Met. Being the sister of Karishma Kapoor (who was ruling over Bollywood in the 90s), it was easier for her debut flick Refugee with Abhishek Bachchan, but she couldn’t get immediate success.

Be it the strings of flops or controversies caused due to her outspokenness, she has always been in the news. All these negative elements could not stop Kareena from ruling the hearts of the young audience and she continues to do so even today.

The recent controversy was triggered when the Aitraaz actress got candid on the nepotism debate. During an interview, she made a very arrogant statement saying that if people do not want to watch her movies just because she is a star kid, they should not watch them. And it somehow did affect the performance of her recent movie Laal Singh Chaddha which failed to make an impact at the box office. Interestingly, after the debacle of this Aamir Khan-led film, she even requested publicly to the audience that LSC is a good movie and they should go to the theaters to watch the film.

When Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan decided to name their firstborn son Taimur Ali Khan, there was a lot of uproar on social media with most Indian users slamming the couple for naming their son after an invader who killed hundreds of Indians during his reign. They were also slammed for naming their second son Jeh aka Jehangir Ali Khan after the king of the Mughal dynasty. Nevertheless, the paparazzi continue to follow Kareena every day.
