Odisha: The Odisha government is anticipated to extend the deadline for attaching high-security registration plates (HSRP) on vehicles today after significant uproar. The deadline may be extended by a month by the state government. The Odisha government is set to release a notification in this regard today.

Reportedly, the state administration has requested a one-month extension of the HSRP slot booking deadline before the Orissa High Court. Post offices and public welfare offices have also been suggested by the state government for inclusion in slot booking.

It is noteworthy that earlier the deadline for affixing HSRP for vehicles registered before 1 April 2019 with registration numbers ending with 1, 2, 3, and 4 was September 30, October 31 for vehicle numbers ending with 5 and 6, November 30 for those ending with 7 and 8 and December 31 for numbers ending with 9 and 0.
