Bihar’s Pregnant Woman ‘Abandoned’ After Marriage; Files Complaint at Odisha’s Soro

Soro: A pregnant woman alleged that a Soro-based youth abandoned her after marriage. According to the woman, both of them got married after having an affair while working at a hotel together in Hyderabad.

The two got married in December 2022 without informing their parents. Reportedly, a few days back, the youth left the home without informing her. The youth was identified as Abinash, hailing from Soro of Odisha’s Balasore district.

Not finding her husband at home, she tried a lot to contact him, but even after repeated attempts, she could not contact him. The woman also alleged in the complaint that while leaving, Abinash had taken away her laptop, mobile phone, jewellery and Rs 60,000 in cash.

As she knew that her husband belonged to Soro, she came to the place to seek police help to trace him.

The police have registered a case and started an investigation to locate Abinash. They have sent the woman to a shelter home.
