Bike-Van Collision Kills 2 In Nabarangpur District

Nabarangpur: Two bike riders died when their vehicle collided with a pick-up van near Jhadakusumi square under Tumbarla police outpost in Odisha’s Nabarangpur district on Monday.

The deceased persons identified as Prasad Bhatara and Rebati Jani of Maidalpur were travelling on a bike towards Papadahandi in the afternoon.

They had a head-on collision with the pick-up van coming from opposite direction.

Prasad died on the spot. Seriously injured Rebati was rushed to the Papadahandi community health centre (CHC), where he succumbed during treatment.

The police have seized the pick-up van and detained its driver and helper for investigation.
