BJP Party Prez J P Nadda Releases Party’s Manifesto for Meghalaya Assembly Elections

New Delhi: BJP National President J P Nadda released the party’s manifesto for the Meghalaya Assembly elections in Shillong today. The state will go to polls on Feb 27.

Meanwhile, campaigning has intensified with leaders from national parties addressing election meetings and rallies in the state. All three Garo, Khasi and Jaintia Hill regions are abuzz with public meetings, community gatherings and door-to-door campaigns.

BJP National President JP Nadda alleged massive corruption and irregularities in the current regime led by NPP. In a public meeting in Shillong, he promised a corruption-free government if voted to power.

Trinmool Congress National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee is holding padyatra in Tura Bazar area in West Garo Hills. Senior NPP leader and Lok Sabha MP Agatha Sangma addressed election meetings in the Nort Tura assembly segment where she enumerated the works and achievements of her brother and Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma.

Leaders of Congress and other regional parties United Democratic Party (UDP), Hill State People Democratic Party (HSPDP), and Voice of the People’s Party (VPP) are also vigorously campaigning in support of their candidates.
