Bomb Hoax: Moscow-Goa Plane Lands in Jamnagar; No Suspicious Object Found

New Delhi: No explosives or suspicious objects were found in the international flight from Moscow to Goa that had to make an emergency landing in Gujarat’s Jamnagar, following a bomb threat on Monday night.

Personnel of the National Security Guard (NSG) inspected the nook and corner of the plane for hours. The luggage of every passenger was checked. The flight is scheduled to take off on Tuesday.

On Monday, the Goa Air Traffic Control received an email claiming that there was a bomb onboard this international flight. So, it was diverted to Jamnagar in Gujarat.

A bomb squad, as well as fire brigade teams, rushed to the spot. The CISF officials, as well as the local collector and superintendent of police, reached Jamnagar airport. But a long search revealed that the bomb threat was a hoax made by some miscreants. An investigation is on to track down the person behind this mischief.
