Boy from Chhattisgarh Drowns in Indravati River in Odisha’s Koraput Dist

Koraput: A minor boy from Chhattisgarh drowned in the Indravati River near Sadaranga village under Kotpad police station limits in Odisha’s Koraput district on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was identified to be from Ukanpali village in neighbouring Chhattisgarh.

According to reports, the deceased had come to his relative’s house in Sadaranga village to enjoy the locally held Balijatra festival.

He bathing in the Indiravati River along with his relatives, when lost control and slipped into deep water. His body was recovered from the river after about an hour. Local police seized the body and sent it for postmortem.
