BSF Shoots Down Drone with Contraband Near Indo-Pak Border

Amritsar: Personnel of the Border Security Force (BSF) shot down a drone in the Amritsar sector on Monday night and seized a packet containing contraband from the area.

This drone was sighted at the Indo-Pak border at about 8.30 pm. The BSF troops deployed detected this drone intrusion from Pakistan in the area of the Rajatal Border Outpost of Amritsar sector. This intruding drone was shot down.

On Tuesday morning, during the search of the area, BSF troops recovered a black-colored drone along with a white bag at a distance of 700 metres from the International Border and 350 metres from the border fence.

On examining the bag, a big packet wrapped with yellow adhesive tape and a small torch were found. It is suspected that the packet contains narcotics. On Monday, the BSF had seized over 6 kg of narcotics that were dropped by a drone in the Amritsar sector on Sunday night.
