Class 12 Girl Attacked by Man for Refusing His Romantic Advances in TN; Arrested

Chennai: A girl studying in Class 12 student was seriously injured when she was attacked by a man for refusing to bow down to his romantic advances in Tamil Nadu’s Thoothukudi district.

The girl faced the attack on Monday while she was returning from a government school after writing an exam. This girl from the Sekkarapatti village was stopped by the accused, Solaiyappan. All of a sudden, Solaiyappan pulled out a machete and hit her in the face. The victim fell down with gushing blood.

Shocked by the incident, people nearby rescued the girl and took her to a hospital. The locals nabbed Solaiyappan and handed him over to the police. According to police sources, Solaiyappan attacked the student as she rejected his romantic advances. Further investigation is underway.
