Class 9 Student Found Hanging in Hostel Toilet in Bargarh Dist

Bargarh: A student of class 9 was found hanging in a hostel bathroom at Padmapur in Bargarh district on Tuesday night.

The deceased identified as Prince Kumbhar of Jhankarapali village under Melachamunda police limits was residing in a hostel to pursue his education.

After getting news of Prince’s death, his family members alleged foul play and demanded a proper police investigation.

According to the hostel superintendent, after having his dinner on Tuesday night, Prince went back to his room and later locked himself inside the hostel bathroom.

When he did not open up the toilet door even after knocking by his friends, the hostel authorities broke open the bathroom door and found him hanging.

He was immediately rescued and rushed to Padmapur Sub-divisional Hospital where doctors declared him dead.

Police have seized the body for post-mortem.
