Congress Delayed In Taking Stay On Rahul’s Disqualification: Ravi Shankar

New Delhi: It was a trading of barbs scene. While Congress leader Rahul Gandhi held a press conference on Saturday and hit the bull’s eye accusing BJP over several issues especially the Adani scam, the saffron party leader Ravi Shankar Prasad addressed a press conference where he alleged that Congress delayed in taking a stay on Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification

Prasad said, “Congress delayed in taking a stay on Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification so that the party can use the issue to its advantage in the upcoming Karnataka assembly election.”

“The main problem with Rahul Gandhi is that he does not get votes and it’s not BJP’s business. We cannot make Congress win elections, it’s all their fault,” said Prasad.

The former union minister also charged Gandhi with having been “abusive, not critical” in his utterances about the Modi surname which led to the defamation suit. He asserted that the Congress leader had “insulted OBCs, an issue that will be taken up in all earnestness by the BJP across the country”.

Earlier in the day, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi addressed the media for the first time after disqualification, where he attacked the BJP-led Central government for ‘targeting’ him for questioning the alleged relationship between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and industrialist Gautam Adani.
